Fit like? There’s a new Gym in town…

By Joanne Warnock

The weight is over – Martyn Paul opens tomorrow in Dyce.

It’s been a marathon job for Martyn Paul, but finally his new gym will open up to members on 1 June.

The state of the art gym is the dream child of personal trainer Martyn and has been a year in the making. After signing a lease a year ago for the Howemoss Industrial Estate unit, he admits he has  been “up against it” but has persevered and can finally see the finish line.

As well as offering the latest gym equipment, Martyn will also offer personal training programmes, fitness classes and a weekly running club.

He said: “It’s a private member club and it will be capped at 200. I don’t want to load it with members. I have pre-signed up members through Facebook who haven’t even seen it yet.”

Martyn has attracted a big following through his reputation having worked as a personal trainer for the last six years and he’s always dreamed of opening his own gym.

He said: “I have thought about this since doing my first fitness course, since day one.”

“By keeping the membership at 200, it will make for a friendly atmosphere and everyone will be comfortable.”
