Train delays after trespasser found on line

Morning commuters are facing up to two hour delays today after a man was found standing on the railway line between Aberdeen and Dyce.

A Scotrail spokesperson said:

“A man was stood in front of the train out of Aberdeen this morning, we have been sat here since 8am. I understand he is now in police custody.”

“Once we are given the all clear to move, we can’t all go at the same time. The train at the back will have to wait for the next slot.

“The train coming out of Aberdeen that was stopped has had to go back into Aberdeen. It will be nearer to ten o’clock until this backlog is gone.”
